My Story
I’m Noam, a mechanical engineer and TMD patient of over 4 years. It started like it does for most: with some clicking on one side. Then both. Then intermittent lockups. Now, I’ve had a disc displacement without reduction for over a year.

I have suffered with TMJ for decades. I have the nightguard and have tried taking magnesium and muscle relaxers, but this is small, but more importantly effective. I've had TMJ symptoms for over 20 years. It can be very debilitating when it flares up, interfering with everyday activities we take for granted (eating, talking, etc.), and even affect you emotionally. The TMJ pen, while not a "cure all," is a very effective tool to help during bad flare ups. I highly recommend!
It can be used in moderation to massage and heat the sore achy TMJ muscles (masseter pr temperalis). No need to apply a lot of pressure when using, with four massage settings and four heat settings it takes care of all the hard work for you! My favorite feature is the heat, since it really penetrates deeply into the muscles to help them relax. Not all TMJ pads or other tools do that, so that is a plus for the TMJ pen!

It vibrates and has heat. While it feels good, this device is not very novel. Also it is cheaply made and looks 3D-printed. Definitely expected more for the price.
Hi Priya, I feel you, it's def not cheap. The reason it's expensive and 3D printed are actually the same - It's a bootstrapped product that we make in America. The idea though is that while 'heat' and 'manual massage' are simple, they're WIDELY recommended and studied to have significant improvements in pain, tension and mouth opening. However the COMPLIANCE rate (do people actually do it the 20min a day as recommended?) is 7%! No one does it consistantly! So when I first started dealing with TMD, I looked for a device that would let me do the heat and massage conveiently - anywhere anytime. Nothing on the market seemed to be designed with TMJDs in mind. For example, none of them ACTUALLY heated up above recommended temperatures. Also none of them had a massaging tip that would let me scrape and apply acupressure in the same way I was taught in PT. And then some had vibrations that were not really adjustable so they either were WAY too rough, or WAY too soft. I know I didn't invent sliced bread here - but I have yet to find a better tool for the job.
