Handy little pain pen

This portable pain pen has been a wonderful addition to my self care routine. I’ve suffered from TMJ pain for years, and find that this device can often help prevent pain from occurring, when I use it first thing in the morning, to help relax the muscles before pain has a chance to set in. So, I guess you could say I use it as a preventative. I’ll also use it if I feel pain starting to creep in, and many times it will resolve. I think catching the pain early is key! Great little invention!

My Story

I’m Noam, a mechanical engineer and TMD patient of over 4 years. It started like it does for most: with some clicking on one side. Then both. Then intermittent lockups. Now, I’ve had a disc displacement without reduction for over a year.

I’ve tried it all: NSAIDs, anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, physical therapy, even surgery.

But my jaw still wouldn’t unlock.

Game Changer for my TMJ

This TMJ pen has changed my day to day TMJ pain. It has always been so hard to massage certain spots along my jaw, as I wear longer acrylics and also my hands get tired quick. The pen has made it to where I can get immediate relief and the heat option is a game changer. I am someone that has jaw pain on a constant basis almost every day and some days being debilitating. Since using it, I have been able to go longer and longer without using it since I can get to the main problem easier and can add more pressure with the tool than I can with my hands. I would recommend this 100x over to anyone that has constant tmj pain. I have also used it on my hands and feet for sore spots when my tmj really acts up and its incredible how fast I can work out a knot.

Wow what a relief this device has brought to me. My jaw muscles were under constant stain and stress. At times it was hard to sleep. My TMJ would give me headaches, teeth grinding and continuous tension. It even got so bad I chipped my tooth while I was sleeping.

This has been so helpful - I haven't found any other tool that can relax my neck and jaw as effectively. To be candid, my jaw pops but the doctor said I don't have TMJ. Nonetheless, I do have insanely tense muscles and when I use this to relax them, the pop goes away and I just feel so much better. I use it before bed because I have a tendency to grind teeth and clench my jaw and even my sleep has improved.
