Best Soft Foods for TMJ Diet
I'm writing this a few days after having my second arthroscopy, so I wanted to make a list of some of my top picks for soft food that makes recovery not so horrible.
- Mash up bananas with some peanut butter
- Cottage Cheese is elite protein (add some honey or jam)
- Yogurt
- Ice Cream
- Smoothies (add protein powder)
- Tuna salad/Chicken Salad/Egg Salad
- Pancakes
- Overcooked pasta with ground beef (it's not so bad)
- Blended Soups (duh)
- Eggs (Duh)
- Fish (canned or cooked)
- Hummus (combine with ground/canned meats)
- Avocados
- Apple Sauce
- Mashed Potatoes (duh)
- Canned Peas
- Chia pudding
- Bean/lentil puree or just overcooked
- Silken tofu (with some soy sauce)
- Oatmeal
- Cream of wheat
- Overcooked Dumplings
- Muffins/Cornbread
Hope that gave you some ideas! Also please read this TMJ guide. Someone on reddit said "it's the best explanation for TMJ Disorders I've ever seen."
